The relaunched Public Relations and Communication’s (PRCA) UK Confidence Tracker this week reveals a net positivity score of +85, with nine out of ten PR agency heads and in-house leaders confident about the future of their organisations.

This compares with a net positivity score of +71 points in June, when the survey was last undertaken. When the Tracker was launched on 31st March, the net positivity rating stood at +36.

Senior in-house and agency professionals were asked ‘How confident do you feel about the future of your organisation right now?’

PR professionals completed the Pulse survey carried out by The Pulse Business.
The findings were as follows (findings from 1st June, 6th May, 21st April, 7th April, and 31st March respectively in parenthesis):
Very confident: 27 (25, 22, 24, 15, 18)

Neither confident nor unconfident: 3 (13, 15, 15, 21, 29)
Not very confident: 3 (4, 7, 12, 15, 11)
Not confident at all: 3 (4, 5, 3,10, 7)
The data amount to a net confidence rating of +85 (+71, +61 +56, +28, +36).
PRCA Director-General, Francis Ingham MPRCA commented: “Despite the undeniable bumps of the past couple of weeks, the UK PR industry is overwhelmingly confident about the future. These are easily the best numbers we have recorded since this crisis began. They reflect agency and in-house leaders’ confidence in a gathering recovery, and in the fundamental strengths of the industry.”

The research was conducted between the 28th and 30th September and reflects the views of 35 CEOs, MDs and Communications Directors.
